The four tiers
Pay for the isolation you need, not the most anyone needs.
Like for like, Tier B runs about 10% below AWS, Azure and Google. Move eligible workloads to Tier D and that reaches 30%. Tier A costs 15% more, and should.[4]
| Tier | A, Regulated | B, Enterprise | C, Edge | D, Public |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price index | 115 | 90 | 80 | 70 |
| Uptime commitment | 99.99% | 99.95% | 99.9% | 99.5% |
| Isolation | Capacity reserved for one customer, vetted operator access, continuous control evidence | Shared capacity, standard operator controls, logged operator actions | Distributed capacity near the point of use, encrypted storage at the edge | Shared public capacity, the lowest isolation of the four |
| Fits | Regulated data, residency obligations, public sector | Production work with no placement constraint. Most workloads land here. | Latency-bound work near users or devices | Restartable work: batch, CI, rendering, dev and test |
Indexed to hyperscaler on-demand list price at 100, modelled against published on-demand rates, July 2026, not measured from customer migrations. The uptime figures are commitments in the master services agreement.[4]

All questionsWhat will a small team pay a month?
Two dc2.medium machines at $0.048 an hour each run about $70 for a 730-hour month. Add 200 GB of object storage at $4 and 100 GB of outbound transfer at $1, and the bill is about $75.

Is the rate card the real price or a list price?
The rate card in your account is the one that bills you. There is no spot pricing and no committed-use discount. Prices are hourly, in U.S. dollars, with no minimum term and no exit fee.
Proofthe rate card screen in your account and the published pricing.[1]
What does it cost to leave?
Outbound transfer and nothing else: $0.01 per GB for the first TB, $0.008 from 1 to 10 TB, $0.006 above that. No exit fee, in the contract. Moving 10 TB out costs about $82.

Where do the 10% and 30% savings come from?
A price index, modelled against the published on-demand rates of the large public clouds in July 2026, with their list price at 100. Tier B sits at 90, Tier D at 70, Tier A at 115. It is modelled, not measured from customer migrations.
Proofthe tier table and the index note.[4]
What is quoted rather than priced?
Managed database sizes, GPU capacity and the platform charge for your own devices. Each comes in writing. A GPU quote names the operator, the facility, the card class, the count, the window, the price per GPU-hour and the minimum term.

What about GPUs?
GPU capacity is quoted in writing: the operator, the facility, the card class, the count, the availability window, the price per GPU-hour and the minimum term. Provisioning time and hardware downtime are not billed, and the quote says so.
Proofthe written GPU quote; no GPU rate is published on the rate card.
If I run it on my own hardware, what do I pay?
Your devices are yours. The hourly rate covers the platform that schedules, networks, bills and fails over your work on them, and Triple X quotes it in writing with your private cloud. Transfer rates apply as published.

Does a higher tier buy more privacy?
It buys more isolation. Tier A reserves capacity for one customer, with vetted operator access and continuous control evidence. On every tier the platform underneath sees that work exists and what it costs, not its contents.
Proofthe tier table on this page and the access table on the Security page.[4]
What stands behind the uptime figures?
They are commitments in the master services agreement: 99.99% on Tier A down to 99.5% on Tier D. The credit mechanism and the claim window are in the same agreement. Nobody credits you automatically, so file the claim.

How do I stop a team from overspending?
Set a budget with alert thresholds and email notice; spend breaks down by service, region, resource and period. Account ceilings also help: a create call past one returns an error, not a bill. Nothing published blocks a call at a budget threshold.

How do I start without spending anything?
The free tier: one small machine for 750 hours a month, 10 GB of storage, 1 GB of outbound transfer and one shared-CPU database with 256 MB. No credit card. Starter ceilings apply until you ask for more.
